Blood test abbreviation meanings

Hi all

Hope you’re all as well as possible and coping in these strange times. I was diagnosed with SLE 3 years ago. I had my 6 monthly rheumy consultation over the telephone last week. I don’t usually get to see the blood form, as I usually go straight to blood clinic. However, he’s posted it out to me to get it done at my surgery and I’m just curious as to what he’s testing, these are the ones that I don’t know the meaning of?

I should say that I don’t really get told any of my results, never get copies of tests to see how things are going. But have decided I really need to know these things, it’s my body and I’d like to know if I’m doing ok.

WC3C4

CTD

I’ve no idea what these are, anyone know?

Thanks

The WC3C4 is probably a complement test, C3 and C4 fit but I don't know what the W stands for.

CTD is Connective tissue disease, in your case SLE. Seen it on mine over the years. As the other reply, I'm sure the WC3C4 is complements C3 & C4 I have that every 3mths,

Hope this helps,x
