Has any one suffered with vibrations in body all over body and burning and stinging. Been off hydroxy for 11 days now as rheumatologist thought it my be side affects. Great full for any info

Hi lottie,

I have recently had a bad reaction to hydroxychloriquine. I was taking 200mg for the last 18 yrs and rheumatologist put the dose up to 400mg. I had a anaphylactic reaction. My face was swelling and felt like it had been badly burnt and started peeling. I also had a very itchy rash on my face and around my neck and my throat started to swell. Everyone reacts differently. It has taken 5 wks for the majority of my symptoms to disappear, but I have been left with twitching sensations around my eyes. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply which is appreciated. I’ve only been on the drug 4 months can’t work out if it’s the lupus or drug. My bloods came back into normal range which make me think it maybe a reaction. Thanks for your post and take care.

Thankyou for that. I’ve read up a lot about it due to my severe reaction. I’ve been taking hydroxychloriquine for 18 yrs so risks become higher. Interestingly my grandmother had porphyria.

OMG. Yes! I am having those exact things. I do not know what is causing this. I’ve had it occasionally for several years, but the flickering (vibrations) have ramped up and I literally feel like I have a vibrator going through my digestive system. It also is bothering in my chest and I feel like heart is fluttering. My regular Physician just prescribed Dicyclomine. I just started last evening. It did not help. My Neurologist suggested Restless Body syndrome. No remedy. This vibration is especially bad after eating and after taking a pill. I’m at my wits end. Could it be reaction to medication?

Hi I'm not on Hydroxy but I do have full body vibrations, I feel like a tuning fork twinging. I get it mostly when I'm relaxing. I hope you get some answers soon.
