Organic Eggs
Wow that is great. Thanks for sharing xx
You sound like me. I’m always suspicious these days with food prices etc. Where does it come from? Too good to be true? And even if they are free range, organic eggs, have they screwed the farmers over on price? Living in a rural area, surrounded by farmers, I know the harm that big supermarkets do.
Yes, I get these, the shells can sometimes be a bit thin, but I hope the chickens are treated well.
It is amazing what you can pick up in Lidl and Aldi for a lot less. Have been shopping in Aldi more recently and have found that a lot of the products like the butter, rice, ham, soup, ice lollies and feminine products are better than the brand name ones.
I don’t know about their organic eggs, but I buy their free range eggs for a very reasonable price too. I have switched from Aldi whose so called free range eggs had such pale yolks I think they were from battery hens. I was very pleasantly surprised to find Lidl’s free range eggs are what they say on the box!! Delicious and dark yellow/almost orange yolks just like our hens produced when I was a child. Yummy. And very reasonably priced.
Thanks for sharing this with us Farmer. It states on the box that the hens are free to roam on organic pastures during the day, so I presume that is true. Have you tried them yet? If so what do you think of them?
I’ll be continuing to buy my eggs from Lidl anyway. So far they haven’t disappointed. 👍🏻👍🏻
