Hi all, i have been on Azathioprine 100mg for about a year now and I have been told that it doesn’t seem to be suppressing my neutrophil count. They have been hesitant to increase me as they said my weight 100mg is good for (i weigh 70kg due to high steroids but lets say im usually 60-65kg marker) but now are thinking to increase me to 125mg to see if it would make any difference after the rituximab ive had kicks in.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Did the increase of dose help? Does anyone think that maybe I should change immunosuppressant and if so any recommendations? How did you react to it?

I was increased to 150mg from 100 of azo. Split into 2 doses over the day. My weightis between 70 to 75kg thank you steroids 😔
I definitely felt better on the higher dose once it kicked in. Hope that helps. Interestingly after 10 years I am now being taken off azo and put on mycophenalate so all new again we will see, good luck hope it helps.
I have been on azo for nearly 10 years 75mg twice a day, and my rheumatologist is concerned about the long term side effects. Mainly risk of lipoma apparently so I have been taken off it, I had no side effects on it so its a shame. I will see how mmf turns out. Sorry to hear it did not work for you.
