This has been happening to me a few times a day without warning. I am on 3-4 liters of Oxygen (usually 3) which I really don’t feel is related. Also, I am under a great deal of anxiety.

Sudden deep inhaling
It is a normal thing - everyone does it but mostly we don't notice it. It's a normal physiological mechanism to "reset" muscles and lungs which aren't fully expanded a lot of the time when we are just sitting or not doing much. Once you notice it you become more aware of it - so you think it is a new thing, that it is far more than it was before and so you may become worried about it and that MAY cause it to happen more! As long as it is just a few times a day there is nothing to worry about - it would be different if you were were consistently deep breathing in a panic attack. But this isn't that...
Hi three siblings, that is a common symptom of anxiety. These are difficult times for all right now so it is to be Expected that many of us will have increased anxiety. People who have anxiety tend to hold their breath a lot, And when the CO2 gets high enough in your blood it will force you to take a deep breath like that. I have been having a lot of anxiety myself being locked down and this happens to me quite often. I forced myself to take deep breath’s all the time and that does help. Take care and I hope you’re feeling better soon. XNan
