A little ray of sunshine....

We are about to attempt to leave France as their lockdown is extremely concerning. I feel that I need to get back to our UK home as if I got coronavirus, I have no idea how lupus and my other conditions will affect how I fight it. Life is really scary at the moment, we need to look after each other.

Here is my offering for putting a smile on your face today. Tiamo is my rescue westie, she was in a puppy farm for 4 years and experienced only brutality at the hands of humans but over the 9 years that we have had her, she has learnt that not all humans are unkind....

She's lovely. So petite.

I have friends in France who decided they wanted to stay on after Brexit. A few days ago they were saying that they wanted to visit her elderly mum in the UK in case there were travel restrictions later.

They need to do it soon... I have just heard from the vets, they are going to see us on the QT this afternoon...

Life is changing rapidly....

It's possible they are in the UK at the moment. Whether they get back to France remains to be seen.

Just found out they didn't travel and have now decided against it due to all the uncertainty.

But they also mention panic buying and inability to get the items they want.

I feel safer here in Italy to be honest despite the problems here. We have a lot of patients - but we also have more ICU hospital beds than the NHS.

To be fair I would prefer to stay here but I am nervous of finding communication difficult should I become ill. I have conversational French but would struggle with the nuances of describing my symptoms.

Stay well...

Thank you, we are just about to head to the vets... hopefully get back to the UK tomorrow night... and yes, her eyes tell you a lot, sadly full of sadness and nervousness but we also get joy and mischief which makes it all worth while 😊😊

Yes I would go as soon as possible as travel situation is getting much worse , I have a friend who is on a cruise at the moment and they have just been on the ship all the time no ports are letting them get off , there is no virus on the ship , countries just are not letting people in , someone on the ship had a fall and broke their leg , they stopped at Madeira for medical attention and Madeira said they were not letting anyone in not even in an emergency , it's crazy . The ship is heading to Gibraltar now for refuelling then back to Southampton , they were originally meant to fly back home from Cyprus but they are not letting anyone in , take care , I hope you get home , what a beautiful little dog x
