I find trying to remain very consistent in diet, sleep, exercise and meditation along with continuing my meds keeps my feeling better generally. Of coarse, stress and sleep are not always with in our control but keeping to routines helps my body self regulate when it does experience stressors. Good luck at your new job!

I wish you the very best of luck with your job, Putloo. My advice would be to NEVER get causal about lupus. This is something I have done a couple of times in the last 15 or so years... no flares for a few years, dealt well with stress, got past the menopause - I truly believed I was home free and then Thwack!! Down I go again and each time it is a bit worse than the last and each time I don’t bounce back quite so far.

I know there are people out there who believe you can cure this monstrous stranger with diet and lifestyle etc - but in my experience these can only help control it, and they do not get rid of it entirely.

Look after yourself always and never forget that it is there.

I'm glad your medication is working for you! There is some useful information on the Lupus UK website:

Try to get plenty of sleep, avoid prolonged sun exposure, reduce stress and take breaks at work when necessary. Taking your medications every day is important, even if you feel better.
