Update to previous post- along with the malar rash on face I have been getting this rash on my back some big scaly patches others almost circular, anyone familiar with this? Mine seem to come and go when I'm under alot of stress and when my malar has flared up.

Yeah i get it and lot worse was having to go to dermatology 3 times a week to get back dressed as couldn't treat myself.
Can appear anywhere on me is irritating and can be painfull.
Does your back itch, Keith? I have something similar and mine is itchy. I scratch it and then it turns into pimple like places that end up as a sore. I see a derm in a few weeks to see what's happening. I've previously been diagnosed with SLE, Hashymoto, RH, IPT. So,, it probably is a new, related disease. I just live with it all and treat the symptoms..
Hi Seth -do you live in Hove? Are you being referred to Rheumatology at RSCH? You need to see Dr Hajela if you can. He is the top chap and very experienced re Lupus etc etc. Good luck, he is a life saver... D
