Well the shingles rash has almost gone. I'm still getting awful pains in the all around left rib area, front and back, same place as rash. This pain is keeping me awake, and I'm unable to complete a day without going to my bedroom and screaming into my pillow. Came down with a head cold and sore throat a cple of weeks ago, coughing and sniffling and now its gone to my chest πŸ˜ͺ I've been using my face steamer twice a day, constantly suckling throat sweets it just doesn't want to shift πŸ™„ Not 1thing but another I just want to feel a little better πŸ™πŸ™

Hope everyone is starting to get ready for Xmas. You all be safe whilst out Xmas shopping.

Bring, I am so very sorry you are struggling. There are a couple of others in newer posts who are also have rob pain. You might want to read through and reach out to them? As far as the hold in your chest, could it possibly go into a lung infection? Have you gotten any antibiotics? Maybe an inhaler to get that medicine deep in there?

I am hoping the best for you. I hope it all clears up very soon! I’ve been keeping everyone here in my orayersπŸ™, which will now include you.

I have had shingles on and off for 30 years. The pain is called residual pain and can last a while after the rash. Take painkillers, any that work for you. Rest. As much as you can. It is a virus and needs treating by rest. I have had similar throat/chest problems. I don’t know whether you are in the UK but Jakemans black menthol lozenges really help. Manuka honey mixed with a small amount of Turmeric and ginger and lemon really helped clear this up. Rest is the key though - don’t try to keep going - I finally gave in and rested and began to feel better - we have autoimmune illness so out body will take longer to heal. Good luck

Ugh, not Bring, but Bronn. I just saw this autocorrect typo. My apologies.

Oh Bronn πŸ’πŸ€¦πŸ˜”

I'm sorry to hear that you're now battling with a virus on top of a virus πŸ€—

I had shingles for the second time this year (first time was 10yrs ago), I think I remember that when u posted about it you'd had the rash for a while so couldn't get antivirals?!

Anyway what I'm saying is that shingles pain after the rash has gone is very common..it can last for months or even years n now you've got extra stuff going on you're probably very run down at the mo.

Tea tree or eucalyptus in your face steamer will help to clear your chest..or I find menthol crystals in a bowl of hot water n a towel over my head works well..menthol crystals r really cheap n a little goes a long way (available from pharmacy)..however a word of warning..if u have a steam with menthol crystals keep your eyes closed!! Having said that it does give immediate relief n u can do it little n often.

I really feel for u πŸ€—

When u next go n scream into your pillow..I'm gonna be right there with u with my cyber hand on your cyber shoulder..saying "that's it..let it all out"..mind u I might also say "go on Bronn..punch that pillow!!" 😹😹 Of course it's totally up to u.. you're in charge!! 😹

Xmas shopping 🀦don't remind me!! 😹
