I was taking Prozac 20 mg until few months ago then I stopped bc I thought they were causing my tiredness and weakness but now I know was nothing to do with it . I think I was feeling better on it ( I was on for 5/6 months) the only side effects was really lucid dreams , I wasn’t sure if I had a good sleep or not . The dr thinks I need to be on it again , should I ? The first two weeks you can feel worst and the idea to feeling worst than now scares me.

I don't think anyone else can advise you about this Melax. If Your doctor suggests it, you should either agree or disagree. Only you with your doctors support, can make this decision. Take care.

I believe taking care of our mental health prevents worsening flares so if my doctor thought I should be on any treatment, including ssri's I would try it. Good luck. Xo

There’s no harm in trying.

I went on anti depressants in January as I couldn’t control dark thoughts. Thinking on it now they are less and I do sleep much better after years of struggling xx

I was put on Prozac too [fluoxetine] for depression but told to continue with it because it would help the fibro. I know it has lifted my mood even though I am on a low dose like yourself. I can't say whether it has affected my fibro but I haven't noticed any side effects. I know I do sleep a little better but still get woken by pain and have insomnia but not as bad as without them. I guess you have to weigh up the pros and cons which you know as you have had them before. the only dream I had was getting my dog, I dreamt someone told me my dog was coming and about 3 weeks later I saw her on a charity website. I just wish I could dream up winning lottery numbers too.

I was told that apart the depression side it helps with pain and raynauds too bc relaxes the blood vessels , Im back on it started this morning I’m on Fluoxetine 20 mg . ....What a cute dream and with the sweetest result a lil dog friend 😊

You should already know if it helps you or not since you have been taking it before. There are so many kinds of antidepressants out there. If u do t like one you could always try another one. Hope u are combining w cognitive therapy, usually those two work best together...
