Before I would go to the rheumatologist, I visited another primary doctor for a second opinion.
She...
Reviewed my lab results one by one
Reviewed my current symptoms from 6 weeks ago through now (mouth sores, swollen lymph nodes, one swollen tonsil, mild fatigue, on and off pain in ribs, one week headaches and dizziness) and the last time I had similar symptoms about a year ago lasting for 2 months (mouth sores, low grade fevers, swollen lymph nodes, severe fatigue, on and off pain in ribs, one week rash on neck)
Examined my spleen area, thyroid, neck, mouth, and throat, and found a swollen tonsil and two small lumps on my neck
Ordered a Mono Without Reflex blood test, to rule out mono, which resulted negative
Ordered an Ultrasound of the two lumps on my neck to rule out other things, such as cancer, which will be done later this week
At the end she gave her second opinion, I should still book an appointment with the rheumatologist to further discuss things with a doctor that knows more of what to look for with autoimmune diseases, and asap since I will probably wait a few months to get in for an appointment. Her reasoning for this was due tony history of symptoms being similar to those in lupus, along with the positive ANA.
I am more confident going forward because she explained everything well and helped me understand things
Keep me in your prayers to accept everything as it comes (if you pray, I do ), and thank you all for your continued support and guidance!
