Hi Lyn,

So pleased you have at last found a decent and knowledgeable rheumatologist, also having lupus is not exactly something you would have put on your bucket list! At least you know now and I hope you will get some treatment that will help alleviate the dreadful symptoms you have experienced for so long.

I have come to the sad conclusion the NHS employs far too many so-called specialists who truly are not up to the job, but they have an "easy" secure and well-paid career... We, patients, have to put up with such inefficiency, arrogance and often their "could not care less" attitude, trying to make the patients feel as though they imagine the problem.

However, when we, from time to time, come across a specialist who is up to the job then it is such a relief, first to be believed, treated with respect and then helped.

So good luck with all your follow-up appointments.

Sorry, have still not PM you, have had a difficult time but will soon.
