to clarify I have lupus also and gp will only give me injections every 8 weeks although symptoms get worse after 4 so I give myself injection every 8 weeks alternatively. Worried as running out of ampoules purchased months ago, and hard enough coping with lupus symptoms without those of b12 deficiency as well and cant absorb through stomach. If anyone knows where I can purchase would be very grateful.

Have you tried the PA site? There's bound to be someone there that can advise you as many of them supplement in between doses.

Hi. I did write the PA site but had no response as yet, however Foggyme (see above) gave me a link in Germany that I hadn't tried, and miraculously managed to purchase two boxes - fingers crossed they have long shelf life but thought 2 is better than 1 now Brexit is upon us! Thanks so much for responding.

Hi Blueeyes57. Just to say, can't see your post on the Pernicious Anaemia Society website here at HU?

Just wondering if you posted elsewhere 'cause it would be unusual for someone to ask about B12 supplies and fail to get a response.

But perhaps you may have deleted it now you have some B12? 😉😀😀.

Good news is you now have your B12. Hurrah 👏👏👏

Blueeyes57.

There appears to be great demand for B12...we in the U.K. are depleting stocks as everyone seems to be purchasing prior to Brexit.

Links to safe suppliers in Germany in links below (some have English translation and if not, google chrome will automatically translate each page). They all have facilities to pay using PayPal and many in the PAS forum use them regularly and have no trouble with deliveries.

I've just checked and there are stocks here (10 x amplpules of hydroxycobalamin 1mg in 1ml):

m.bodfeld-apotheke.de/item/...

Other German Suppliers (currently out of stock but keep checking - supplies currently run out quickly once new stock arrives)

versandapo.de/vitamin-b12-d...

mycare.de/en/online-kaufen/...

Let me know if you need more sources and if you get stuck and have no B12, send me a PM and I'll let you have some of mine to tide you over😉.

Grief, being without B12 is unthinkable...I shudder 😱.

Good luck xx

Just an update, thanks soooo much, I have paid for 2 boxes from m.bodfield in Germany. It is a miracle as couldn't translate page but I have managed to guess they wanted my birth date. This is such a relief. A bit expensive on the p and p but well worth it so thanks again. This is a GREAT forum! Thanks to all others who responded too.

That’s brilliant news Blueyes57. What a relief.

I'm like you and have to self-inject because my GP will only do eight weekly. Crazy, isn't it - it's a vitamin for goodness sake. Anyone would think we were asking for controlled drugs. If we lived in most countries in Europe (and other places) we could buy injections over the counter - every day, if required - and the pharmacist would even offer to do the jab.

In the U.K., animals with B12d get injections every week 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤬

My one wish would be for every GP in the country to have to suffer from B12d for one month...and then be told that they had to wait for another two months before they could have another jab. Or perhaps be told they couldn't have any at all. How swiftly things would change!

Rant over!

Good that you no,longer have to worry about one set of symtpoms 😀😀😀 xx
