Had eeg- was fine- just took quite a long time- sticking the electrodes to your scalp- then had to wash hair to get rid of glue. Re electromyop- i think it was called that- again took quite a long time- i had 2 tests- 1 with electrodes & 1 with tiny needles (bit like acupuncture)- they did it along arms & legs- did get quite uncomfortable& he kept telling me to relax various muscles- easier said than done when u feel like a pincushion! It was good tho as computer picked up the trembling feeling i had but which you couldnt see- so i felt relieved that i wasnt imagini g it! i havent had dye with my MRIs but did with a CAT (?) scan- it was fine- couldnt feel it.

Thankyou for getting back to me. It dosent sound to pleasant but not as bad as 'the modern day torture chamber' that it is described as on google! .. I'm off to have both tests done tomorrow so fingers crossed it will be ok. I also get the trembling feeling where I feel I'm shaky. Once again thanks very much for replying x

I had an eeg which revealed ishcemia to part of my brain but as i am now on warfarin this really is not as scarey as it sounds I thought i would let you know on the off chance that you get a result that says something isnt right - I also got the results later not at the time, so dont panic about this, even if they do find something it does not have to be as scarey as you think x

Thanks bex, I had my tests yesterday and they were ok and weren't painful. They showed I didn't have muscle damage but I have nerve damage on my right side. I've previously had a brain mri a few weeks ago though and that showed brain inflammation. Fortunately I'm quite laid back and haven't paniced or scared really I'm just trying to find as much information as possible as I think its the unknown that is scary. Everybody on here has been lovely though and very reassuring so fingers crossed. Hope your ok with yours and hope your on a good phaze x
