Sorry to hear you are having such a **** time right now. You are not alone.

I think for many of us suffering from an AI disease the constant battle with fatigue and so much medication you feel you should rattle when you walk! Does nothing to help with weight. It seems a vicious circle at times. Just remember there WILL be good days and you won't always feel like you do right now. Here if you want to chat, keep fighting x

Sorry to hear you are in a bad place at the moment, things will get better. I try to be positive, even in the bad times . My husband downloads silly videos and comedy shows and they always get me laughing , it does give you a boost . I have put on weight since I started treatment and I can’t shift it , no will oower. We are all here if you need a chat or need a wee rant , big hugs 🌸🌸

Oh boy, you are preaching to the choir today girlfriend. I won’t go through a 65 year history of illnesses, stress, and a bunch of drugs including high doses of steroids and weekly SubQ treatments. Oh joy. Needless to say my remarkable thinness and agility began to slip away by the time I was 50 glorious years old. Well, I have always been an optimistic person and managed things pretty, sorta well. I have battled with many issues, some of them life threatening, but nothing has BUGGED ME more than gaining 75 pounds in just a month or two following starting my infusions plus needing mega steroids. Then a couple years later, wash, rinse and repeat AND JUST like magic another 25 pounds.

I also have a lot of inadequately treated pain. Consequently, some ancient gene must kick in and turn me into a cave dweller requiring 20,000 calories a day. Do you see a shrink or family Dr.or anyone who could start you on a GOOD antidepressant? It could make a world of difference for you. They can also help with weight control problems.

It’s worth giving it a try if you never have.

Sorry for the ramble here. Your post touched my ❤️ heart. It ‘s true things will probably improve, but there is plenty of help out there to tap. There truly is a wealth of information out there for us. - Just imagine

Sorry to end this rather abruptly but I’m falling asleep here on my own show.

Couldn’t of wrote this better myself !!! I did read a women’s blog, she was taking weight gain medication. Her advice was to restrict herself to just eating 4 times a day, 2 of which are a small snack. I have found this has started to work, but I’m constantly telling myself I am not hungry! It is a catch 22, weight gain or be in a lot of pain. I would recommend reading up on your medication and see how they affect the body, and see if this will help you to fight that forever feeling hungry battle.

I notice that my hunger increases just before a full on flare. This battle I have not won yet.

You are not alone and there are many of us you can talk to if you need too xx
