Yes, it arrived. I have a lovely Welfare Rights Officer who, on the phone, told me a few things he thinks I couldn’t say because it didn’t pertain legally.
I have an appointment to see him face to face on 9 January 2019. He told me not to panic that it seems so long. Highly unlikely that a Tribunal would happen before then. Or before the summer.
All this for a couple of extra points I lost in spite of not getting better since I had them.
I also asked how soon I could apply for PIP again, should the Tribunal fail. I asked this because I’m considerably worse. He said, well, not the next day, but otherwise any time you like. I’m amassing a large file of letters etc to support my PIP reassessment for another application if needs be.

Would you kindly contact me to discuss your PIP appeal. I am going through the same thing, and it is extremely distressing. Any information we can give to each other may help both of us.
I sincerely hope your nightmare is over now, and you have had a good outcome.
I’m assuming you have failed the Mandatory Assessment part and are going to the Tribunal.
Without the help of the Welfare Rights Officer I would get my approach to the Tribunal badly wrong. It has a very legal take on things. Are you able to contact a Welfare Rights Officer near you, or CAB?
I really can’t help yet because my face to face with my WRO isn’ until January. I’ll help as much as I can then. X
We have chatted before about my situation with ESA being stopped in 2016..it took 14 months for it to get to tribunal so don't hold your breath!! You will feel much more in control of it after u have seen welfare officer.. unfortunately it's all about the legal stuff now..something that your average person knows nothing about..these people know how everything works. During the appeal process the DWP really do mess with our heads and it really does feel like they would rather we all dissappear..so they try to finish us off!! What they don't realise is that we are lupus warriors and we face huge challenges every day..stay cool and you will get it sorted xx
Thank you! My WRO says it will be about 12 months until the Tribunal, judging on ongoing cases. I’m not actually re-reading or thinking about anything until I’ve seen him. Then I’ll take the legal notes I need.
Should all else fail, I have become more unwell since the PIP examination. I’m perfectly entitled to let the dust settle then go to DWP to let them know. I have quite a healthy ( if that’s the right word) dossier.
