If your meds haven't changed recently it could be that your body is starving for a nutrient or nutrients.

But also cooler weather will make you want more filling meals

yep steroids can cause you to eat more. Canns reply is a good one.

With auto immune problems, I find my body needs good nutrition all the time. I eat little and often of good food. Perhaps your body is craving good nutrition, too. Do your best to eat good quality foods, fruit and veg and remember exercise such as walks, gardening if you have any, even housework is exercise and moving. I don't go to the gym, but I do play table tennis. I have to be careful not to over exercise. Your weight should balance out eventually. Eating of foods that cause weight on are not always healthy foods. Veg soups are good at this time with being warm and filling in the colder weather. There are lots of recipes available online. I was on steroids, but my problems just got worse and I stopped them. They made me bloat up. All the best.

As others have suggested above, steroids will cause some people to gain weight. However, other things can cause weight gain too, such as thyroid issues. Have you had yours checked?

Were the test done recently? You might want to ask your gp if you require any follow up or if they think it might be relared to your weight gain/ increased appetite.
