Body pains

I have had Lupus for 7 years now, recently I’ve been going through quite a flare. My joints are unbearably sore especially my knees. They injected my muscle with steroid and that was supposed to relieve me of the joint pain but that didn’t help. They then increased my prednosolone dose and that didn’t help either. Now they’ve injected the joints of knees with steroids and it’s been about 4 days now I feel no difference or maybe it’s even worse! I now have extremely bad body aches like to even hold my arm with a little force hurts me. I really don’t know what is happening. Has anyone ever had body ache like this?

Poor you, yes, your symptoms sound so familiar. Injections into joints can be very painful to start with, because of the increase of fluid into the synovial space. But after a week or so, should start to help. It took over a year to control my last big flare, so don’t give up hope just yet. Adding in immunosuppressant therapy was what really made a difference, and even then had the be titrated up to max dose.

I hope the injections bring some relief soon, even if they are not the entire solution . Get well soon.

hi i have the same my hips joints feel like the are tearing apart the surrounding tissue when i walk or swing legs out of car etc . saw two rhuematologists both said its not lupus but said its fibromyalgia and severe arthritis . it flares up to be excrutiating , then dampens down to a quieter scream . toes and feet are also involoves as are my arms and elbows . knees sometimes as well . have given up going to doctor just get on with trying to live with this weird condition . doctor said lose some weight or die lol . im not that heavy middle age spread . so have lost weight but still the same . my front teeth are wearing down duesto eating so much rabbit food lol . salad days and ratatioulle with butter beans no meat . lots of fish and fishy shell fish . beetroot for a sweet treat . cut out sugar chocolate and bread and potatoes pasta etc . still ache and pain all days . in various outputs . also had labrynthitis for 4 mounths and pulsating tinnitues , waing on ent appointment . .... so it goes on i have no answers .
