Umbrellas and Driving Sleeves for the Sun Sensitive

After the post by Button2 last week about driver's windshield uv guard, I mentioned to Fredabooboo that I'd share my update on my Coolibar driving sleeves.

So, though it wasn't full on sunshine yesterday for a long period of time, I did try a one-arm-on one-arm-off approach and did notice a difference between the unbearable feeling of my bare arm and the more comfortable one of my covered arm. Therefore I've decided not to send these sleeves back and definitely take them on my next long drive which is in about 10 days. I should be able to better report at that time about their effectiveness. For now, I'm saying a tentative yes.

BUT... I also wanted to share this wonderful picture, just so we don't have to feel like such wallies with our brollies, Button2! : ) I was in a stopped car queue for 20 minutes heading into a local fete; and while I was popping open my baby Jane brolly to block the rays coming in the driver side, I spotted this brolly goer too!!! At one point we were thumbs-upping each other. There are more of us out there than we knew!

There are a few way to tint the windows. One of them is yo add film that can filter most of UV light out.

Thanks Wenwen. Yes, we just spoke about this in Button2's post. I'm changing my car soon so have to make due without until it makes financial sense to get the film guard done. I'm still worried though, as it's questionable my reactions are heat-based as well, so I'm wondering that the light is going to create a heat reaction even if the uv is filtered out. So many weird things to add to the list of things to get done now! x
