Hi, thanks to everyone for all the helpful information on this site I have primary sjogrens and now have polyneuropathy I came across this site about the 3 stages of sjogrens I thought I'd pass it on I never knew there were stages of sjogrens ://healthfully.com/stages-sjogrens-syndrome-
3 stages of sjogrens : Hi, thanks to everyone for... - LUPUS UK
3 stages of sjogrens
Thanks for this info which is good (never seen it before) - but also somewhat misleading because it misses out the neurological path that Sjögren’s can sometimes take. Some are at risk of going to a different stage 3.
There is no reference to the aspect of stage 2 currently affecting me and others who more often have seronegative primary SS (ie lip biopsy positive). This often has a different degenerative outcome to the stage 3 outlined here.
So I’m reliably informed that my risk of developing Lymphoma is no higher than the general population. However the risk of Sjögren’s affecting my kidneys through autonomic neuropathy and also of it progressing to my central nervous system is high - and this process has already begun for me and isn’t covered by this “Healthily” stage 2 at all - probably because the data in it relates only to those who are antibody positive. This is because only +Ro primary Sjögren’s patients are included in clinical research trials.
These links are perhaps more helpful and up to date with bigger picture - certainly for those suffering from the neuropathy side of things: academic.oup.com/rheumatolo...

This really helps! I have a lot of these symptoms and can now articulate them to my rheumatologist. This site is awesome!
