Hi been to the rumi with my daughter today was a very productive appointment she is going for an mri then 🤞she will be given biomedicine? Asked if it was like methatrexate which I take and was told it targets Pacific areas so hopefully her pain will become more manageable and why I was with her I asked the nurse if I could have a steroid injection as I’m off methatrexate for a short while and she went and got it ok by the consultant so we got a double whammy bonus

Sounds like a very positive visit for both of you. Those are few and far between.

It’s took a long time for my daughter to be taken seriously I was lucky the rumi nurses are very very good she went straight to the consultant and got the prescription filled out 10 minuets later I got the steroid injection fabulous

Ive had a similar battle to get my son taken seriously despite my history. He has now been diagnosed with Graves disease and Hughes. It is frustrating. We do not have rhumy nurses at our hospital. Funny enough as a retired nurse my consultant suggested I set up a support group instead. I suppose it helps his budget.
