So my most recent bloods showed a high result for both my liver function and esr. Both were over 100!
My GP phoned my specialist and he wants to see me tomorrow, sounding a bit worried about me. To be honest other than a little fatigue, some mucle ache and the main concern a little chest pain I feel quite good ☺ still able to work and be social, lucky me
I am a little scared what may happen tomorrow or what they may find but I feel good so I believe it'll be nothing bad, probably be put back on steroids for while though- Booo

My rheumatologist says in his hospital they have a policy of treating the symptoms and the person rather than blood results as blood results can give the wrong picture and be bad when someone is doing ok and good when someone is very unwell. Hopefully if you feel well treatment won’t be too much although I suppose it might be bad for your body to have these raised levels and make your symptoms worse after a while so they might have to treat? (The dreaded steroids! - I’ve just been put back to 40mg a day 😬).
Worrying about test results is the worst!! xo...I always feel , when I do my blood and urine test, I am giving my bodies secrets away..and I will have to deal with new knowledge ...I know, strange.....Hoping all you will need is a little tweak in medication..or because you feel well enough, ...a what and wait approach
Thank you Melba1 and Leslieliesel for your kind words I spent most of my day in hospital with a variety of tests and scans. My heart beat is a little fast but no blood clots or anything.
Apperently just a little liquid in my lungs, sounds a bit scary!, however they have just put me back on 20mg of steroids, saying the problem is probably some muscle inflammation, and my specialist will see me again soon next week
I know how crazy bloods but feeling fine feels a lot. I was originally referred to my rheumy for sky high ANA and RNP but felt ok, tired and achey but thought it was stress, so it was just a surprise when I was diagnosed with MCTD and been sent for test upon test!
But as Melba said, they look at how you're doing and use the tests to help with that. Glad your appointment went well despite the scare, and hope next week goes well.
