If you have only been on pred for 4 days it is not problem at all to stop immediately whatever dose you were on. Had you been on high doses for more than a couple of weeks or lower doses for a month or more than more care would be required.

By the way - you may think pred is "the devil drug" - it gave me my life back so I feel rather differently about it! For many people it is a life-saver - but they hear so much negative comment about it they are scared to take it. Used properly and carefully it is no worse than any other drug.

How long have you been on it. If it’s just for the four days then no it’s not dangerous. Just a pain cause there must have been a resin for it being prescribed. If you have been on it for quite some time then yes it is dangerous. And you should go back to doctors xx

After a 4 day course??!! No it’s totally fine. People have a weeks course for a chest infection regularly and after that week it stops and that’s it.

It’s when u are on them longer that u need to reduce slowly.

No ...if you have symptoms that contra indicate Pred coming off after 4 days won't hurt.

I came off after a week..but only because I was too stupid to,realise it was responsible for all the neuro symptoms I was experiencing.
