I'm in a bit of a quandary. Being on immune depressing meds, would you say it is helpful / unhelpful / makes no difference, to include probiotics into your diet?
Am thinking of Kefir.

Also on immune depressing meds due to transplant but would say in my case probiotics would make no difference at all. The only "voluntary" thing I take is a cod liver oil capsule.
Thank you for getting back to me.
So you tried probiotics?
Just wondering if it would be counterproductive?
Take care
Because I am mainly a renal patient due to the damage done by lupus I have in the past been able to ask the renal dietitian about any nutrition/food issues. Is there a dietitian at your hospital you can ask. Perhaps your consultant can advise. I have no stomach or bowel problems (touch wood) at all and have never taken any probiotics at all, and I have seen no research to say that probiotics are beneficial for those on immune depressing meds. I would save your money x
