Hi all im just wandering if anyone here experiences vivid dreaming/ its actually like almost hallucinating. I hope you dont think im a nutcase!!! But I was like this about 6 months ago before a big flare. Im only on hydroxy about 8 weeks and just over this past few days im not feeling myself (cant quite explain it) and now these dreams have started again. Any advice/ comments appreciated ive also only been diagnosed as probable lupus this past year so im a newbie.

Thank you

Are they dreams when you are asleep? Only asking because I hallucinated on gabapentin. I do take other non lupus meds that in the early days gave me fabulous technicolour dreams. They wore off. Nothing like that with hydroxy, if you feel you might be flaring because it's similar to previously, check with your rheumy?

Edited to say gabapentin were awake hallucinations. Stopped taking it fast.

Can you get some Pred from your GP for a couple of weeks? You know your body. If you feel it's a flare then that's an option (and GPs can prescribe it so shouldn't be too hard to get an agreement). It does take a while for the hydroxy to kick in (I've been on for 5 weeks now and am still on a low dose Pred to tide me over before I reduce further). I was advised to do this by my consultant.
