Shoes

I've recently been living in sketches go walks or fitflops as I need shoes with good shock absorbing soles.

I have weak ankles and I have two new knees. Over last few weeks I've had a few near misses where I have just stood on a small stone and turned my ankle over. Well on Thursday I fell over an landed on my knee, which is now very swollen and bruised. It seems that now I can wear fitflops any more and I will have to just look for completely flat shoes. I put up with most things, but I get really fed up about not being able to wear the shoes I want!

I have the same sort of problem I am ok if it's a fitted shoe with a strap around but definitely not flip flops. Hope you can find a nice or that suit you.

So annoying! I spend so much money on shoes, and I can't wear any of them.

I've just got some low block heel Sandals for my daughter's wedding next month, let's hope I don't fall over then! 😱

Commiserations creaky.

Oh how I miss shoes.

Love my walking boots with podiatrist's specially adapted insoles...so comfy...but grief, they don't go well with a summer dress. Though I imagine and pretend that they do 😉.

And so, I miss shoes.

Sorry to hear that you are in the same boat. I've been wearing a pair of flat sandals today, and all my joints feel terrible because they do not cushion the impact. 😡

The only shoes I wear are sketchers with memory foam insoles they give great support when walking I was told never to wear flats as they are too hard on the joints as there is no support I go for comfort now over the style.

Yes I have sketchers, just need something a bit more dressy now and then.

The footglove sandals are going to the charity shop today though, so that I'm not tempted to torture myself again!

Hi creaky

Sorry to read your having problems finding shoes!. Fit flops are so dangerous!. It is difficult for us to find suitable shoes, I find it so and miss being able to wear pretty styles!. Have you tried Hotter stores or catalogue and JD Williams catalogue?. They do shoes with better soles and wider fittings which I also need.

You did well finding wedding sandals, good luck for big day, hope you enjoy it. X
