So I was referred to a hematologist from my rheumatologist because my white blood cell count is low. It has been almost two weeks and I havent heard from hematologist to make an appointment. Anyone have a low white blood count?

Hello Jenny. Yes, lots of us on this site. I've had a low wbc since about 2000 and probably a lot longer than that. A good reading for me is 3 but I have even been below 1 on occasion. I just try and eat healthily and not worry about it.

Yes last 16 years

Dx with lupus 6 years ago and at its lowest

For me my normal is between 2 and 3 but have been lower

I take precautions like washing fruit veg

Good hand hygiene cooking meat properly

Hard because immuno meds make it it low plus lupus makes it low too

A month ago I had a cold virus it went up to 8 !!

Blood dr should be able to give you all the info and tests you need

Good luck and try not to worry xxxxx
