M A I Infection

Hi guys, hope everyone is feeling well and safe and my heart goes out to anyone who has been affected with the recent tragedies. Quick question, has anyone ever had an "m a i" infection. I have spent last two months in hospital. It's a cousin to the t.b. family. Am home now, but still in pain. I was wondering how long did it take before you noticed antibiotics kicking in. I was told will take 4-6 weeks. Am starting my fourth week but don't notice a whole lot of difference. They say is a very unusual infection but because my system so suppressed from methotrexate and rituximab infusion before xmas may have suppressed my system too much therefore led to infection. Worried if my system can fight this. Thanks xx
