is as it says an overview.
This ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
is a heavy duty medical paper from 2 years ago which outlines the current status of stem cell research in the field. It is still in relatively early stages, is still very experimental and not without risks. I think there is no doubt that it will become mainstream eventually - but it isn't yet and probably won't be for some considerable time.
I know there are sites promising cures for all sorts of diseases including lupus - they may cure an over-stuffed wallet but I doubt little else. But to describe stem cell therapy as a "natural alternative" as at least one does is rather pushing it. Your existing immune system has to be destroyed first with very duty chemotherapy and then the stem cells are transplanted. There is no real guarantee it will work, it works in maybe half the trial patients and half of them later relapse. Don't believe everything you read in the internet!
Hi s_1984 ,
The Lupus Foundation of America has some quite good information about progress in this area on their website at - lupus.org/research/stem-cel...
