Black country Thyroid Support Group - last Wednesday of every month

Brand new support group. Not sure if it will benefit anyone but I know anxiety/lupus/thyroid conditions can sometimes be linked.

I'm very interested but I'm in US and not sure could joing the meeting above. Would like send a few questions here:

I had my left thyroid removed due to it grown to a fist size. About 3 months after the surgery, I was diagnosed having myositis

Is there a connection between thyroid disease and autoimmune disorder?

How the thyroid disease effect the treatment of autoimmune disorder or vs versa?

Thyroid disease can be autoimmune in origin, so there are lots of people who have problems with their thyroid as well as other autoimmune conditions.
