In the day unit connected up to rituximab!! I wasn't sure if it would be happening today but came prepared with kindle, warm cardigan , eydrops and lipsil . I hope i it has a good effect again. The staff are all lovely here , the worse thing at the moment is going to the loo as the drip has to go with you. Will up date on how it all goes xx

Hi weathervane ... what is rituximab? I note you're in the lupus forum ... i have FM and UCTD - i find it interesting to hear about various treatments 😁

Hi there , have sjogrens with the added joy of muscle and joint pain and enlarged lymph nodes! Rituximab is a biological treatment so im hooked up intravenously today with another in 2 weeks. It takes most of the day by the time you are sorted. It really made a difference the last time so fingers crossed xx

Hi paul, i am very bad at putting up websites! I had a good weekend after the infusion but don't feel so good today. I feel a bit weak and light headed, i was expecting this as happened the last time so will be having a quiet day. 😀

Hello I'm so sorry this slipped past me W! I looked you up just now to see how your consultation went and whether you got your infusion - so pleased that you did - and more importantly - I hope it's working? Xx

Hi there , generally it went well but developed a chest infection so was feeling a bit rough ! Didn't have the gastritis i had the first time , so get 2nd one on Monday hopefully the antibiotics will have cleared my chest 😀Hows life with you , have you had the tinnitus app ??

in reply to weathervane

Oh no about the chest infection - hope it's fully clear so you can get second infusion on Monday. I'm fine but it's been like doing the Anika Challenge - on my own trying to get so much achieved all in a week. Back home tomorrow - will post over the weekend re tinnitus counselling, optician and other. Xx
