PIP

I have just had a letter saying that my DL A is ending and inviting me to apply for PIP. I joined Benefits to Work and read their literature about applying but. I'm a bit confused. It seems to say that you will lose points if you already have aids and appliances for various activities. Can anyone clarify this for me.

Ring Citizens Advice to make an appointment to fill the PIP form in. They know how best to word it to maximise chances of success!. They helped me get mine after a failed attempt. Good luck.

I'd suggest reading the government guidance for the assessors - I recently had a reassessment done and found this afterwards. My pip has continued at the lower level for both but looking through the examples and guidance I have no doubt at all that this should be at higher rate and will be using it heavily in my appeal. My first assessment 2 years ago the lady was wonderful and understood my situation very well so it isn't all bad. The latest guy that turned up was a whole different experience unfortunately.
