First u need to see the gp who may do blood tests or refer u to a rheumatologist depending on your symptoms

Hi carolann55 ,
Have you discussed the possibility of lupus with your GP? There are a couple of blood tests that they could do as a starter; antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and anti-dsDNA antibodies. If either of these tests come back positive then it would be evidence to support a diagnosis of lupus and a referral to a rheumatologist for further investigations would be recommended.
