Head twitches

Hello,just wondering if anyone else had what I can only describe as head twitches ? Mine are always to the left side. Was wondering if this could be a lupus symptom or just a strange thing that is not at all connected.

Do you get pain at the same time? I have had episodes of sharp stabbing pains in my head that pull me to one side. They stopped once I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and got it under control. I also sometimes get a kind of electric shock-type feeling in my head, like a jolt that puts me off balance. I've recently noticed that these happen when I've accidentally missed a dose of the sertraline that I'm on - think must be a withdrawal symptom

Hello Celina.

I have had head twitches in the passed. Probably before my diagnosis. But I linked it at the time to stress/tiredness and never mentioned it to a doctor. However recently I went to the GP about headaches with ear pain and was told I had headaches with myalgia. And that I experienced CNS (Central Nervous System) involvement with my lupus. At that point, the GP knew I had been getting muscle twitches in my back, legs and abdomen at times too. Unfortunately, with so many lupus symptoms, it's hard to discuss everything at your GP/Rheumy appointments and even with a list of "Must Mentions" it is easy to get side-tracked isn't it. I think if I were you I would go to the GP. They are obviously bothering you. Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks Wendy,I am hopefully seeing my GP this afternoon. As you say,with so many symptoms it's diff to talk about them all at an appointment without feeling like a hypochondriac. I will let you know how I get on.
