Insect bites

Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing ok? I have a quick question. Can insect bites cause a lupus flare? I'm having a bit of a prolonged flare at the moment and the only thing at has happened to cause it is that I've had 5 or 6 mosquito bites. They aren't infected, just normal uncomfortable bites but my joints are very sore, I am terribly fatigued and I 'm having all the signs of a flare typical to me. Any ideas?

Hi, my husband swears that Mozzetta and a huge fruit wasp caused my Lupus. I was bitten by both in Greece and had a really severe reaction, followed by flu like symptoms for weeks, then joint pains. Within 6 months I was diagnosed with S.LE. Coincidence or not! X
