HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all you amazing men out there that support or need support whilst dealing with the complicated illness we all know as lupus.

May the universe grant you a wonderful day.

As you all are aware, through following my posts, this is not the case in our household.

So my daughter, who is amazing full of fun with a wicked sense of humour, thought I would enjoy this present..............

We thought all of you that dont have that amazing support might chuckle too......

Much love

Had to laugh.

My hubby is a great Dad but this would have summed up today if still with my ex/first husband.

Hugs to you xx

This made me laugh! My fiancΓ© dropped me like a stone due to Lupus.

I'm having a terrible flare at the moment and am really struggling with pain and breathing, I'm on my own. It's scary. But you know what? I'm have the sofa to myself, I can watch what I want. I don't have to worry about cooking for him whilst I can hardly move AND I'm not being made to feel guilty about feeling ill, I'm not being told "you're addicted to painkiller and making it up". It's tough, but it's easier alone! His Mummy can cook and clean for him now, he's moved back with her aged 38! The very definition of a t*** if I ever heard one!

Thank you for making me smile on a really tough and painful day xxx

You are very welcome, I aim to tell it as it is... lol

Me too, Sofa, le mans, grand prix and then the darts final - a perfect day, rounded off with sickness, diarrhoea and severe stomach cramps BUT NO GUILT... on my own too... lol but that could have been the other cup cake.....πŸ˜‚

I hope you have had a good day, despite the pain, but I am sending universal love and hugs to help and surrounding you with the light of hope.

Much love

Mandy; this made me smile but, on the same token it made me sad because it is so true. Laura and I raised 3 children, we now have 5 grandchildren, for the life of me I can not understand why or how a guy (or girl) could abandon their children.

Laura and I have 2 grandchildren that live with us. (Their Dad does also) I feel so bad for the kids, their mother very seldom come to see them. It was April before they got a Christmas present from their mother, then it was just cheep stuff. My son has full custody and she can see them when ever she wants to but it has to be a supervised visitation. She can not be with the kids alone. (That is another sad story). I will have to admit it is usually the father who has other interest and thinks the grass is greener in other pants (if you know what I mean) and drops everything to chase that life. Just forgets about their children, this is so sad.

In the case of my exdaughter in law she thought the rocks were harder on the other side of the mountain (agin this is if you know what I mean).

To me there is a huge difference between being a father, pretty much any guy can do that. It takes a good, hard working, understanding, careing guy to be a DAD.

I would not have missed watching my children grow up for nothing. Was it easy, no. Would just walking away been easy, at times yes. But you made a commitment and you should stay with it and do the very best you can to raise them right. I was in the music industry 25+ years ago I recorded a song

"In His Eyes"

It is about a little boy who is watching his Dad an following in his steps. In the chorus the song goes like this

"Lord could you be the man that I am in his eyes"

From that time on that was my motto with my children!

I will have to admit I think all 3 turned out very well, are they perfect no, but then none of us are.

Sorry about the raving, got started thinking and couldn't stop, thoughts just kept coming.
