Ive just had an app through the post today to see the consultant tomorrow for nephrology. I had bloods taken a week ago and wasn't expecting to see the consultant for another 6 weeks, after a previous letter. Is this normal to get an app so fast, or should I be worried?
should I be worried?: Ive just had an app through... - LUPUS UK
should I be worried?
I don't know how usual it is to get an appointment so fast but I am glad you have it.
IF Lupus is affecting your kidneys the sooner you know the better as treatment can be effective.
In some lupus clinics the rheumatologist and nephrologist see patients together.
Wishing you all the best., and let us know how you get on.
They may have had a cancellation - I'd be surprised if it was in response to last weeks bloods though since it takes a few days to get results and even longer to generate an appointment letter usually.
My attitude is: don't worry until you have a reason to. It saves a lot of energy!
I have already seen the Rheumy a few weeks ago, and she gave me an open app to come in when my symptoms are bad. She also retook my blood for Ana.
I just cant help worrying! The last time I got an app this fast was the day I was told I probably had Lupus. I will let you know the outcome. The app letter was dated 22nd, so maybe it was a cancellation.
