Lupus mouth sore?

What is this??? It's on the roof of my mouth, no pain but I started to feel like ****, hands hurting like a finger is growing out of my hand , fog is back , could this be a sign of a flare???? Please give me your thoughts !!!

Your mouth sore could be a sign of a flare along with brain fog!. Does look sore!. Can you increase a med to help?. X

I am calling Dr in the morning misty14. I know it does look sore but it doesn't bother me if I didn't look in my mouth everyday I probably wouldn't have noticed it it's horrific !!! But does this look like a lupus mouth sore? Do u get lupus mouth sores ?

Good luck when you speak to your doctor. I do get mouth sores but not looking like yours. I agree with Ferrari and Jeanie that yours should be checked by a dentist!.Hope you feel better soon.X

Looks nasty any white patches in the mouth ? possibly oral lichen planus if so visit to the dentist needed I experienced it years ago just before being diagnosed with lupus very sore and horrid worth investigating good luck with it😉

Horrible isn't it. I'm feeling for you. i've been managing very very similar roof of mouth erosive lesions (that's what my peridontist & rheumatologist & dermatologist call them) for decades. Over the years, dentists have TOTALLY failed to help me with these. As a result the roof of my mouth is covered with scars. Basically these are just a sort of wound, which gradually scabs over & heals. My version of this is only slightly sore, say 4/10, in terms of background pain but is extremely sore, say 9-10, + extremely sensitive to any contact sensations which makes eating difficult. I agree that you should see your GP in case yours is infected. I mainly manage to avoid infection. My version of these usually take well over a month to heal

My medics tell me that my version of this is related to my SLE, but is more due to sjogrens dry mouth and my ehlers danlos type of hypermobility (also a connective tissue disorder). I've tried every treatment under the sun on these, but the most successful is the Gengigel range: mouthwash & gel.

I'd imagine your version of this could be a sign of flaring lupus &/or sjogrens

I use mirrors to inspect my mouth daily to make sure I treat these the mo they begin. I also get erosive lesions & big paroxysmal haematomas (like huge blood blisters) elsewhere in my mouth, so need to be vigilant & treat all this stuff early. As well as the OTC Gengigel products, i have a prescription topical steroid in orabase that helps, especially with the tongue lesions. Like you, I make sure I take photos of these things...I call them my "mouth monsters". My medics say it's important to avoid anything scratching the inside mouth tissues, eg crusty bread, sucking hard sweets etc etc

When I worked in a Dental office for many years we saw the odd one like this and from what I was told, they were viral, (A swab sent to a lab would confirm this though) Have you ever had chicken pox? Stress is said to bring them on along with poor immunity, Or running yourself down. You may have felt tired a day or two prior to this or had a tingling feeling in the area prior to it happening. Barnclown has some good care remedies. They usually go away in a few weeks like any other cut in the mouth. good luck.
