Rheumatology: Got my first appointment at... - LUPUS UK
Rheumatology
Good luck tomorrow. Try not to worry. It is always a good idea to make a list to take with you as it is so easy to forget to say things when you are there. Also, if you have any photos of rashes or swellings show them too. It is always helpful to take someone with you if at all possible to support you and repeat what you are saying. Also, if there is too much information they can help to remember what is said. If there is anything you don't understand ask again. I hope your appointment goes well for you x
Good luck! Had my first one last week, I took along photo's and a list of symptoms. Thankfully I didn't need to use them, because my consultant was very understanding and was prepared to listen to me. There is a lot to take in, so it's a good idea to have someone with you to listen on your behalf and ask any questions you forget to ask. Please keep us updated.
Thanks everyone
Kazhodluckymilo17, Good Luck. When they say there's nothing wrong with me, I call the office enough so they decide to get me back in for blood work which usually shows up something. Sometimes, it seems that the phone calls are more informative than the appointment when the physician is busy talking about irrelevant matters.
