Lupus Test

Can anyone tell me difference between the old ANA and new lupus Test. Didn't Know that there was 1 until the nurse was looking for the blood test on computer to do when taking blood last week.

thanks. just wondered as I've never been treated for Lupus , ? Dr's in late 90's about it and they did the ANA Test .told me it was negative and I had fibromyalgia. Found out a fortnight ago , off a print out i had to take up to the Hospital . That the test was a faint + for Lupus. So even thou I had the butterfly rash , symptom they decided not to run with it.

But at least not been treated must have cured me !!!

Either that or as I told GP non of my blood work or other comes back as they should.
