Lump in leg ...?

Hi,

I have Lupus SLE and also have steroid injections for Osteoarthritis in both knees.

Just recently I've noticed a lump forming just below my right knee on the front of my leg. I wondered if it could be to do with the injections and if anyone else had had the same happened to them at all.

I don't have agonising pain with it but sometimes I do get a twinge there, has anyone got any suggestions ?

I have exactly the same but i have no diagnoises as yet my consultant says i could hve lupus but we are not sure as yet amd i dont have any injections just steriods and other meds

Hi Georgie

Have just looked in the Lupus Diagnosis book about joints and your lump could be a Bakers Cyst. They can come with inflammation so you need to get advice about it. Good luckX

Ok thanks very much misty, I'll check in my doctors after Christmas and see what they say. But your mind does have a habit of running away with you.

I think you should contact your doctor to eliminate any serious problems.

I had a lump in my leg following a hip replacement and was diagnosed with DVT.

Oh that sounds nasty I hope you are ok and well now. Thanks for that, I just thought I would see if anyone else had a side effect from the injections, before wasting time at the doctors.

But I will go and get it checked out after Christmas period.
