I applied for dla lastyear October,2013 I was refused in February this..because I had 7 points and I needed 8 to qualify..

They wrote to me telling me that they may change their decision but need to speak to me first. I was called on February the 14th I told them how the sle affects me..since then I have heard nothing I have made numerous telephone call but not allowed to speak to the team who are reconsidering my application. Finally I was called again this Thursday just gone and was told they are looking at my claim again and did I want to add anything..so again I went over everything again,he told me that they will write to me in 5 to 10 days to let me know..dont know what's gona happen..my arms are hurting writing this post..thnx 4 readi g in adv..

Well I can only imagine this sounds positive, as I've never heard of anyone being contacted to discuss points etc because they are borderline. Not saying it doesn't happen - only that I've never heard of it. Fingers crossed for you and hope it doesn't take long for them to sort it out.

What a way to deal with your DLA claim, giving you extra stress waiting for their decision. Could I suggest that if your not happy with it when you finally hear that you contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureau who will help you. Have you done the claim thru them?. Keep a note of all the telephone conversations you've had with the DWP to tell the CAB. It's sneaky doing a lot by phone when you can't keep a record!. I hope you get it and know soon. X

I know, no joking about the stress I applied through a company called epic house they were very good they helped fill in all my form, im from Leicester so they where based in the city centre. I am struggling because I work 2 jobs and my upper limbs are affected my arms. and desperately want to give up one im 39 years old..i hope there is a positive outcome for me, if iv not heard anything I will definately consider citizens advice bearu. As 2 calls from them they have all medical evidence what more

moral they wants urrrrrrr so frustrating.
