Just wondered if anyone has had any problems with lumps under your skin close to your ribs. I have these weird lumps at the moment and I am a bit worried have the docs on Thursday but thought I would just check to see if anyone else has had this with sle or if this is totally unrelated. Thanks if you got this far lol xx

Could it be shingles at all? I had a rash in the exact same place last year, and it turned out to be shingles. I didn't bother my GP or consultant at first as the rash was the only symptom I had that was not unlike the flaring symptoms of my SLE (fevers and fatigue, and aching as a result of my RA and myalgia).
Thanks for this, I am not sure but to be honest I haven't been feeling that well for the last few weeks. This lupus this is all very knew and I am just so confused with it all. I think I have a flare going on just now as my knees are killing me and I have awful fatigue and Brain fog! Thanks for your reply really appreciate you taking the time x
Hi
Yes I have those Lumps small soft moveable lumps all over my body under my skin in the fatty tissue.
I too was worried about them but my dermatologist said they are benign lipomas which are fatty cells that clump together.
She said some peoples fat cells grow flat and spread and stay smooth where as with other people they grow round and clump together forming soft lumps.
Some people have them removed if they get bigger or become painful or uncomfortable otherwise they just leave them alone.
It's always worth getting them checked out though and then you can stop worrying hope this helps you.
