I have had to use diprosalic ointment - (betamethasone) a steroid cream and sleep in cotton gloves on and off for many years now. It really helps to calm things down and to keep the skin malleable and not brittle and susceptible to further blisters which crack and weep.

I had eczema on hands which was sore cracked and weeping for years. I used to use steroids but it made skin thin so I started to use a propolis cream. You can get from whealmyhands.co.uk

I also have raynauds which can cause ulcers on the fingers and toes. My rheumy changed my meds to stop the ulcers from getting worse. I'd recommend seeing your GP or rheumy.

Take care x

Hi. I also use Betnovate cream and was given Unguentum M - a ambiphillic dermatological cream for night time and wear cotton gloves at night. Keep hands from getting too warm. Hope this helps.

I have suffered the same way so that it was impossible to touch anything I could not even get myself dressed or feed myself, in fact this ended up spreading over most of my body. I was hospitalised and the treatment used which cleared it up was very generously coating my hands in liquid and soft parafin then they were wrapped in jellonet and wrapped up, once they started to heal a little I started using the liquid and soft parafin and then wearing cotton gloves, I do not use soap I use a soap substitute which I have on prescription but I strongly recommend that you get an urgent referral to a dermatologist to check that your skin is not infected as I did have infections in my skin too, hence needing to be hospitalised. I still need to used various creams on different parts of my body ranging from Eperderm to moisturise to differing steroids and Protopic to work with my immune system, my skin is almost clear now so don't give up hope persevere and follow any instructions you get from professionals it does seem time consuming but is worth it. DO BE CAREFUL THOUGH SOME ARE FLAMABLE!!!

All the best I hope things improve for you soon
