I am sorry to hear you hate your dentures, else5.

Is it because of the look or do they not feel comfortable?

I am coming to the point of needing them, too, and it is worrying me.

My dentist wants me to have 4 out at once, but I feel I can only have one at a time.

I have had several out over the last 3 years, one at a time, because keep filling them is painful, time consuming and expensive and certainly doesn't seem to help in the long term.

I find eating/chewing quite difficult with missing teeth.

I can't take a general and not too much local anaesthetic so it is a dilemma for me.

I had a temporary, that was stuck to another tooth - fall out this week and stuck back, but my mouth is so sore just having that done.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how long before you could wear a denture after the extractions?

I am dreading going around with no teeth and also if I can't wear a denture comfortably with my sensitivities.

Do you find you need a fixative with them?

I don't think my body could tolerate a fixative either, as I have so many food allergies.

Thanks for replying, else5. Sorry to hear you have that problem. I fear the same when I have them. I wouldn't have implants anyway as they can be very painful to undergo. A friend had one and he said never again. Also, I read that the jaw bone can disintegrate with implants. I will just try to prolong the inevitable as long as I can - nothing else I can do except go without teeth! It does take some time to get used to dentures, I know.

Try this tooth gel by forever it's fluoride free, it contain propolis which is natural antibiotic and aloevera which helps whiten teeth but also helps with gum disease and other gum infection. I suffer from lupus and not only were my teeth yellow but I kept spitting blood I was getting lots of ulcers this really helped I use it alongside my sensodine tooth paste. I even get compliments now on how white my teeth look here the link to online shop 440100722827.myforever.biz/...

I only found out last year that I have 'dry mouth syndrome' and it is that which has caused all my teeth to crumble. My teeth went Very brown when they swapped me from Plaquinil to a cheaper derivative, I told them if they did not swap me back They would be getting my dental bills. They have never gone back to my original colour. Hope you have more luck.xx

MY teeth not great, I have receding gums and periodic gingivitis.

During a medication review with the pharmacist he suggested it could be related to dry mouth, which I do have slightly, and to get the doc to prescribe something for it, I have had things in the past for dry mouth.

I also think being on warfarin can make my gums worse.

Do you have a good dentist and go regularly?

A scale and polish with the dentist could help you. Also a good electric toothbrush.

Also keep off the strong tea and coffee, and fruit juices, as they stain, as does smoking.
