I have been on methotrexate for 5 months with effects of mild nausea, this weeks dose has literally knocked me for six

I feel extremely nauseated it is the third day after taking mtx and I still feel extremely nauseated I just want this feeling to go away is there any suggestions on how I can make this awful feeling go away

Are you on tablets or injections? I was on tablets and have very similar, horrible nausea. I had been violently sick on Azathroprine so was very worried about not repeating that experience. Rheumy nurse recommended taking the folic every day apart from mtx day. Helped only very slightly and was advised to stop taking until I saw rheumy. She put me on Methoject, as the mtx was working and I didn't want to keep hopping from drug to drug. I occasionally feel a bit squiffy but absolutely nothing like I did with the tablets. I have always struggled with tablets of any kind making me feel sick, and chemical sensitivity is common in Lupus. I would recommend you speak to rheumy nurse and press for another appointment to discuss injections if the mtx is working for you. I self inject and it is so easy, been doing it for almost a year now and just about to increase the dose. Good luck.

ive been on metho 3 years now stick with it if u can , my dr prescibes me DOMPERDONE an anti sickness drug , it workd for me .. hope thats helped

Hi l take 8 tablets on a monday and was suffering terrible nausea so l split the dosage 3 breakfast 2 lunch 3 with evening meal. I dont have any symptoms now. Hope this works for you. Do make sure you take with food. Good luck

I just left a post as this happens me weekly with my own injection so I stopped taking it ironic that I have more good days with out it
