skin rashes on hands tell me this isn't lupus??
my skin rashes: skin rashes on hands tell me this... - LUPUS UK
my skin rashes
I too get skin rashes plus so many other unpleasant symptoms. I gave up trying to get a lupus diagnosis because my symptoms became worse with all the blood tests - I am sensitive to invasive treatment even tests and anyway what is Lupus - an immune system problem and if we aggravate our immune system more, we are the ones to suffer. What is more important is why have we got the immune system problem - rashes to me mean something is trying to get out of my body - I have felt that there is something living in my body since I was overdosed on a dangerous antibiotic 14 years ago, plus other drugs - all my immune system problems started then. They unbalanced my body basically and there seems to be no drug that can rebalance it - in fact my GP at the time stated that we had come to the end of the road where conventional medicine could help me. I have been struggling ever since with the help of knowledgeable doctors, complementary therapists and listening to my own body, but I can take no drugs.
My skin rashes with Lupus were far more far reaching and totally different than your photograph (you are clever, wish I knew how to do that). Obviously I am not a doctor but mine started on my chest with little red dots, not itching, and then the dots mushroomed into circles of red, sometimes three inches across, it spread to my arms, hands, neck and face. Have you changed anything that you have in contact with your hands, bearing in mind that you can sometimes simply build up an allergic reaction for things that you have used for years. Try wearing gloves when you do the housework so that your hands don't come in contact with things and try and not to use any creams. If it improves in three or four days then it's an allergic reaction, not Lupus. Don't panic Mr. Mannering all will be well. Hope it soon clears up.x
