Aw pity you are not in Edinburgh. Great one here used to dealing with cancer patients. I shall ask her if she can recommend anyone over there. She is an organic hairdresser so no chemicals x

I'm in Hamilton & go to Andrew brown on low waters road. Good hairdresser he's dealt with my one patch of missing hair due to psoriasis. Might be best to phone a few and ask for a consultation. x

Hi I would recommend a totally different route to go down if you have really bad scaley patches on your scalp - I have lost my hair thee times through scaley skin on my scalp and have SLE have been a sufferer for almost twenty years first lost my hair eighteen years ago and was devestated tried all sorts of ways to deny it was happening but in the end shaved my head for charity as shaving was recommended by a doctor for the lotions to work on the scalp to make it better and they did work and my hair grew back - beautifully thick. I would suggest you see your doctor for a referral to a dermatologist who may recommend the same I got some satisfaction from shaving my head as I did it for charity and raised a substantial amount once I knew it had to go I thought that was a good idea.

All the best hope you manage to get it sorted

Hi, I've had similar problems for a long time. However, I live in Spain and I was recommended cabello (Spanish for horse) shampoo and conditioner, which has been very successful in keeping it at bay and also strengthening my hair.

May be worth trying to see if you can get it in UK or online.

Hi,

I don't live in your area but I can tell you my hairdresser recommended shampoo and conditioner with oatmeal in as they thicken your hair, I know it's not a solution but it has helped me.

I use 'Joico' products from my salon, not cheap but they are available online if you google them and they may be cheaper there.

Hope things improve for you,
