Does anyone suffer with low blood sugar at ovulation and mensturation ? I do and I almost loose consciousness and shake uncontrollably ?
Guess I am on my own with this one ...
I used to have the same problem. If I ate a small amount of carbohydrate every 3 hours i.e. digestive biscuit it kept more stable. I then had a mirena coil fitted which stopped periods and all the delightful problems including the low blood sugar. Have you talked to your doctor about your symptoms? x
Sue thank you so much for your reply ... It is dreadful when it occurs and again knocks the stuffing out of me when I feel like a rag doll already ... I shall ask my GP about one as I can't go on like this ;0) Ty
Hi I used to get all sorts of problems at differing times of my cycle I won't bore you with the detail and my pregnancies were like something from a horror movie although I have two beautiful grown up children from them. Once I got past my second time of giving birth I was told I was being sterilised and I would have to take progesterone for the rest of my natural cycles to stop me having periods so that I would feel better. I have a merina coil fitted now and still take the progesterone and feel so much better I have not had a period for years - bonus! If you are of a similar age and are not trying to have children I would strongly recommend this the progesterone I take is called Cyclogest and the Merina coil lasts for about five years before it has to be replaced. This has made a huge difference to my life and I would strongly recommend it to any woman who is suffering hell from their periods.
