I have now had two equivocal results for Lupus taken the appropiate times apart. First one i had wondered if a small cold I developed had thrown it the second i was healthy for weeks after and it was eight weeks since my last test and illness. The tests were initially started in early pg as I have had 3 miscarriage WIth one live birth after first) and it was really to rule Lupus out. My haematologist spoke to me today no more tests but cant treat me as he normally would (with Clexane) as I have another blood disorder which means I don't always clot as I should - however it doesn't protect me against DVTs etc (odd I know). Obviously worried about the implications to this pregnancy and placenta- anyone know why I would have two equivocal results- does it or could it mean that Lupus is waiting in the wings for in years time?
I have symptoms of Lupus that cant be explained by a variety of other conditions that I have yes I get achy joints and but these are the ones that I have injured etc over the years and I am also overweight.

This question is very tricky, and i dont think that anyone is going to risk giving you a definitive answer.
A lot of us with Lupus have anti-phospholipid syndrome which of course puts us at a higher risk of DVT and this accounts for the increased risk of miscarriage in women.
Many people have had equivocal test results for years before getting a neat answer and lupus can seem to wait in the wings for decades.
And most of the problems associated with lupus could also be caused by other conditions, which is one of reasons it all get so frustrating.
